Psychotherapist, Counsellor
BA (Hons), Master of Social Work and MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy. Member BACP, Member UPCA.
From £50.00 (50 minute session)
Richard’s wide-ranging training and practice experience enables him to tailor therapy to each client’s needs. He offers both brief, focused counselling as well as in-depth, long-term psychotherapy.
Many of Richard’s clients have outwardly successful careers yet continue to struggle with anxiety, depression, identity issues or difficulties in relationships. Some may use alcohol or drugs to cope with unresolved distress. For others, this distress may stem from childhood trauma such as physical, sexual or emotional abuse. In other cases, it may be linked to more recent challenges such as bereavement, relationship breakdown or loss of employment. For many, there may simply be a lingering sense that something is missing, or a feeling of being unable to reach their full potential.
Richard provides a safe, confidential and supportive space to explore these difficulties. Through existential-analytic psychotherapy, clients can gain insight into deep-rooted or unconscious processes, building awareness that allows for positive and lasting change.
