Robert is a qualified Humanistic Counsellor who believes that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in effective counselling. His approach is grounded in empathy, respect and confidentiality, offering a safe and supportive space where clients can talk openly about their concerns.
Experience & Background
Robert’s understanding of people has been shaped by many years of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. He has worked with:
- Adults recovering from addiction
- Traveller and Gypsy families
- People in prison settings
- Adults living with schizophrenia (group work)
- Homeless individuals
- Students with special educational needs in schools and colleges
- Young people at Chichester University
This breadth of experience has allowed Robert to develop a counselling style that adapts to each client’s needs while always maintaining compassion, understanding and professional integrity.
Approach to Counselling
Robert’s work is based on creating a relationship where clients feel heard, valued and supported. Within this environment, clients are encouraged to:
- Explore their thoughts and feelings without judgement
- Gain clarity around the difficulties they are facing
- Build resilience and healthier coping strategies
- Work towards emotional balance and wellbeing
His aim is to help clients move towards a life free from emotional or psychological barriers, enabling them to grow and thrive.
Fees
Robert charges £80 per session and sees adults, adolescents and young people in person in The Practice Weybridge or online nationally.
