Olga Ashnina

Counsellor, Psychotherapist

MSc Integrative Psychotherapy (in progress), BSc, Dip. Therapeutic Coaching, UKCP Trainee Member

From £50.00 (50 minute session)

Olga offers psychotherapy, counselling and therapeutic coaching for adults. She works in an integrative and relational way, with close attention to each person’s lived experience, offering a warm and thoughtful space to explore emotional difficulties, relationship patterns, identity and change.

Alongside her private practice, Olga works clinically within an NHS GP surgery in Surbiton, providing counselling and psychotherapy to a wide range of clients. This work has given her experience of supporting adults at different life stages, backgrounds and presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, low self-esteem, loneliness, emotional overwhelm, health-related anxiety and questions around identity or belonging.

Olga also works with an online counselling service, supporting adults with a range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties. She is currently completing an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, and her clinical work is supported by regular supervision and guided by professional ethical frameworks.

Olga has a particular interest in life transitions, identity and belonging, including relocation, expat life, third-culture identity, motherhood, parenting and career change. She is interested in how major changes can unsettle our sense of self, direction, relationships and place in the world.

She is also interested in the relationship between the body, emotions and ways of coping, including food, body image, health anxiety, chronic pain or illness, and addictive or compulsive patterns. Her additional training in trauma-informed and addictive behaviour coaching informs her understanding of how these patterns can develop over time, often as ways of managing difficult feelings, stress or unmet needs.

Alongside psychotherapy, Olga offers therapeutic coaching for adults who feel ready to work in a more active and structured way around change, decision-making, habits or direction.

Before training as a psychotherapist, Olga worked in corporate finance. This earlier career informs her appreciation of the pressures that can come with work, responsibility, achievement, parenting and trying to hold many parts of life together.

Olga works with adults across three broad areas:

  • Emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship patterns, loneliness and low self-esteem.
  • Identity, change and belonging, including life transitions, motherhood, parenting, cultural identity, relocation, expat life, third-culture identity, work, money and questions of direction.
  • Health, the body and ways of coping, including health anxiety, chronic pain or illness, body image, eating behaviours and addictive or compulsive patterns.

She offers sessions in English and Russian.

Olga chargees £50 for psychotherapy and counselling (50-minute session) and £80 for therapeutic coaching (50-minute session). Please feel free to contact Olga directly to discuss any of your therapeutic needs.
