Working collaboratively and at your own pace, Ben supports you in exploring your thoughts, emotions and experiences with compassion and curiosity. Whether you are facing a significant life challenge or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy offers a space to gain clarity, develop resilience and move forward with greater confidence.
Areas of Support
Drawing on extensive experience across NHS mental health services, private practice, community wellbeing programmes and specialist bereavement support, Ben works with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Stress and burnout
- Grief, loss and bereavement
- Trauma
- Relationship difficulties
- Identity and self-discovery
- Anger and emotional regulation
- Workplace stress
- Neurodiversity
- Low self-esteem and confidence
This breadth of experience enables him to work confidently with a wide range of emotional, psychological and relational difficulties while recognising that every person's story is unique.
An Individualised Therapeutic Approach
Ben believes there is no single solution to life's challenges. Every person brings their own experiences, relationships and perspectives, which is why therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
His practice is informed by a range of contemporary psychological approaches, with particular expertise in:
- Existential-analytic psychotherapy
- Phenomenological therapy
- Person-centred counselling
- Psychoanalytic thinking
- Creative therapeutic approaches
By integrating these perspectives, Ben works with each client to develop an approach that reflects their unique needs, values and goals.
Research-Informed Practice
Alongside his clinical work, Ben maintains a strong interest in psychotherapy research and the development of effective therapeutic practice.
His academic work has been recognised through an award-winning publication in the European Journal of Psychotherapy & Counselling. This research continues to inform his thoughtful, reflective approach to therapy while remaining grounded in the unique experiences of each individual client.
