BACK TO PRACTITIONERS

Sarah is an experienced Psychotherapist with degrees in Integrative Relational Counselling and Therapeutic Counselling and is a fully qualified EMDR therapist.

Sarah believes that counselling can have a powerful impact in helping you to make sense of your feelings and work through them in a nurturing space. Often, being fully seen and heard in a supportive environment can help to reduce those negative feelings and bring peace of mind.

Sarah works as an integrative counsellor which means she uses a combination of approaches to help you understand what you bring to counselling and she will tailor the approaches to suit your individual needs. Her therapy sessions will offer you a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space to work through your difficult feelings and help you to make choices that support and nourish you in achieving your goals rather than repeating old behaviour patterns.

Alongside her degrees, Sarah is also trained in EMDR therapy which is an extremely effective intervention for trauma. She is trained to Master Practitioner level in Neuro Linguistic Programming. Sarah works for the NHS providing counselling and EMDR therapy for a wide range of issues. She previously volunteered at Portsmouth University where she provided therapy for students who experienced among other issues, depression, anxiety, loss and low self-esteem issues. Alongside working for the NHS, she also works in private practice.

Sarah works online and in person with adults and those over sixteen. She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework. She works long and short-term depending on your needs and offers a free initial consultation via telephone or zoom for you to discuss your therapeutic needs and address any concerns you may have.

Sarah continually accesses training to keep abreast of the latest approaches. She charges £65 for a 50-minute session
